(Tetun) Grupu Agrikultura Manufahi (GAM) is a farmer group in Loro village, suco Betano, Manufahi municipality. The group started their seed production activities in 2007 as contract grower producing certified seeds of MAF released varieties. In 2013, they registered with MAF to produce commercial seeds as well.

Visits of Minister Tanya Plibersek to community seed group in Liquica

(Tetun) The Australian Shadow Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Development, Hon. Tanya Plibersek, visited the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries – Seeds of Life (MAF-SoL) supported community seed production group (CSPG)  in Suco Mota Ulun, Bazartete, Liquica municipality, on Wednesday (15/4).

As part of her diplomatic visit to Timor-Leste, the Minister meet members of Haburas Moris Rasik CSPG to see how the MAF-SoL program impacted a small farmer community. (more…)
